I have been on wordpress.com since early 2006. Never tried using much of the widgets until recently when I started making my second blog. I wanted add some widgets basically from "Google Gadgets". But discovered that none of those will work with wordpress.com

Any ideas where I can get some nice HTML widgets for wordpress.com? I am currently looking for a horoscope and a live news widget. Whatever looks good, doesn't work here.

    Any help will be appreciated!

The blog I need help with is orissakhabar.in.

  2. As you have provided no factual information with regard to what you want to place in a widget self selection is the way to go. Here's the link to wordpress.COM support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com/
Here's the link to a page that shows you all the links to the different kinds of widgets

I have already checked the support pages. The widget I am trying to use is something like... a drop down menu from where visitors can select their sun-sign and click to view the current day's horoscope.

I also wanted to use a news feed widget like those provided by FeedZilla. But i think there's no way to use these on wordpress.com?

  4. There might be some workaround with trusted 3rd party service providers with those three. If the code provider lends you gigya plugin e.g whos.amung.us to remotely post the code to your wp.com account then having .js (.swf & iframe, too?) converted into plain html wouldn't be impossible. Just a thought...
