   I've followed the directions for giving my readers a chance to subscribe to my blog, but the subscriptions doo-hickey doesn't show up in the margin.

   ? do i do?

   You'll have to add the subscriptions widget to the sidebar to make it work - see here for detailed instructions on adding widgets (there's also a video guide at the bottom):
