No Tweet and Like Buttons on Home Page

  1. Hi,

My theme is Bueno and I have enabled the Like and Tweet buttons from the Appearance settings.

The problem is they don't appear when I visit my main blog http://hardik988.wordpress.com , but only when I visit a particular post eg : http://hardik988.wordpress.com/2010/08/12/why-indian-entrepreneurs-should-watch-the-question-hour/

Is this the way it's meant to be ? Or is something wrong on my blog specifically ?

The blog I need help with is hardik988.wordpress.com.

  2. G'day to you,
You will be gappy to hear that this is normal behavior. The tweet button at the end of posts, and the like button in the navigation bar appear only when a specific post title is clicked and the entire post viewed on it's own page.

  3. Thanks for clarifying ! But I would love it if they appeared on the actual Blog as well :) Probably something for the future ?

  4. If you want a generic Twitter button that is not post specific s easy as pie to make one. Simply capture an image and then link the icon image to your Twitter profile page - done!

As far as moving the "like" button forthe navigation bar that is NOT going to happen. It's ONLY for "liking" specific posts and not for the whole blog. So it's staying exactly where it is and will only be displayed when a specific post title is clicked and the entire post viewed on it's own page.

However, a "follow this blog" for the navigation bar is being tested and will soon be available so worpress.com can be just like Facebook and all those other trendy sites.

  5. Thanks for clarifying.. I meant the 'Like' button to appear for each post on the main blog - meaning every post would have it's own like button - and not a Like button for the whole blog.
