  1. When my blog post get sent by emails to my suscribers, they are getting advitisement that I did not allow!!! Please tell me how to remove them as I do not support that kind of things.

  2. If the advertisement is being shown on your site, then you should know that WordPress.com can run advertisements on free WordPress.com sites that do not have the No Ads upgrade. Please look at Point 10 in the Terms of Service. http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

However, do you mean they are seeing ads on your site or in the email sent to followers/subscribers, if they've signed up for email delivery? I have never seen yet an ad in a New Post email notification and I get many. What advertisement exactly are they seeing?

  3. There are video youtube ads. The first one was 3 weeks ago and was an ad on football. The one today is a youtube video on cars.
I do not see on my computer, but even when people click on the link that I posted on facebook , they see the ad.

Here is the link they received as the email:

  4. I do not see on my computer,

You won't see them when you're logged in, nor will viewers logged in with a WP account.

  5. Yes WordPress.com does use video ads at the end of posts. Howver, I haven't heard that they have ever appeared in emails of post.
WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read the advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all.

The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.

  6. Wow! Thank you for all the feedbacks. This is helpful!

  7. I purchased a No-Ads upgrade so I'm in control over what's appearing on my blog. However, it's a fact that millions of us are also running AdBlockers on our browsers.
