Noob Alert !!! 64-bit system/Windows 7.0 Home Theme File Locations?

  1. I hate having to start out my first thread with an apology, in advance, but I must say: Forgive me for asking, but...

Being a mechanical CAD designer (in other words, not technically illiterate and supposedly possesing some level of PC knowledge) I am stumped. And I'm 99% sure it's not a WP thing. I think it's a "64-bit system thing"...

I've downloaded a Theme called "Admired". Firstly, I not positive, but I can't guarantee that I downloaded it from the WordPress.COM site, or possibly a WordPress.ORG site (or affiliate). And... Would it matter? It seems a majority of the documentation links you Google take you to the .org site. What is the Cliff's Notes version of the difference?

On topic... Where in the heck are ANY of the folders that had to have been "installed", right? The reason I'm so sure it's a "64-bit issue" is because I've had to chase down paths in order to do some code customization with Autodesk products.

So - where if the heck would I put the Theme I've downloaded?

If someone would be so kind as to asnswer some of my other questions...? Much WP love your way!

The blog I need help with is bucsfeed.wordpress.com.

  2. Here at WordPress.com you can only use the themes in the WordPress.com Theme Directory & Showcasethere is no option to upload your own theme so yes its WordPress.com and not your computer,
