I wouldn't want a legit comment accidentally being marked without me having realised that it had been submitted.
I've searched and I couldn't find anything.

Not really. Best bet would be to review the Dashboard -> Comments -> Akismet page every so often.
Gotta admit that while I can understand your question, I for one would hate to get emails for spam. I've had some days top out at over a thousand on my blogs here.
