   The WordPress dashboard allows you to invite up to 10 people to follow your site (and get a WordPress login...). How do I tell everyone in my e-mail contact list that I posted a new article they might want to read? I think it's silly that I get an e-mail -- I know I did it! -- but I don't see where WordPress tells my "peeps" that I posted something new. It would be nice if this was automatic. Why would anyone even look if they don't know there is something new to see?

   The blog I need help with is peter5427.wordpress.com.

   The send only 10 invitations at a time limit to other to become official users of your blog is a means of spam prevention. http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

   You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

   If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >

   You can set up a customized contact form http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a static page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ or in a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ and above that form you can clearly state that you are asking for those who wish to have their email address "captured" to use it.

   Your site stats page displays how many followers you have, who your followers are, as well as how many people are subscribed to post comments on your site.

   Dashboard > Site stats > Total, 'Followers' , Shares

   Click "blog" and when that page opens click "email followers"

   Please read all the information at the links I posted above because you misunderstand both the adding users and the email subscribers functions and set up.
