ns1.wordpress.com is "Invalid dns-server" when mapping existing domain

    Hi All,

    I am trying to map and existing domain (http://hoettingeralm.at) to http://hoettingeralm.wordpress.com and I am following these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

    On trying to change the name servers at my domain registrar to:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    I always get the error:
    "Invalid dns-server. Either the server does not exist or it is not correctly configured."

    What am I doing wrong?

    oops! I meant to type hoettingeralm.at above and not "hoettingeralm.ci"

    Hi Timethief,

    Apologies - did not realise there was a JavaScript Obfuscation on the original page (do not get any warning myself). Anyway - hence the reason for wanting to re-map the domain to wordpress.com.

    If I could edit the original post to remove the link I would... (sadly I cannot see any edit function?)

    We have kids posting here and the edit function was removed years ago as it was abused. Only Staff and Moderators can edit, delete or close threads. Not to worry as they will take care of it when they enter this thread. It also appears that as you have a .at domain your will need a zone record which only Staff can provide.

    I have manually added a zone record for your domain.

    Have the same problem with naturasia.pl and naturasia.wordpress.com - contacting WordPress support did not work. Please help by adding zone record.
