Number of Posts on Main Page...

  1. Hi, I was wondering how I can change the number of posts that are shown on the main page
I think my blog has about 5 showing right now
I want to cut it down to like 3.
I looked everywhere on the dashboard but I couldn't figure out how to do this
    help please!

The blog I need help with is central21.wordpress.com.

  2. First.

Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to 'contact info'. In the spot where it says 'website' fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now... when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won't have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.

    Well said.

Please do not start duplicate threads. If you click "member" under your username you can locate every thread you started and every comment you have made on this forum.

  4. I did not see anything under my profile that would allow me to change the number of posts displayed on my first page...

  5. Sheesh! If you click "member" under centra21's username what do you get?

Dashboard > Settings> Reading ... look for this:
Blog pages show at most ___ posts
Click "Save Changes" after inserting the number you want displayed.

If you search for "number on front page" this is what you get http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/

  6. OOPS! I left out two words in the search string above. It should have read "number of posts on front page".

  7. lol well explained, was able to make the changes. Thank you!

  8. Yay! That's good news. :)
