I noticed this problem a few days ago, but today it's even worse. If I refresh the site stats page, the number of "views today" will decrease, then if I refresh again it might go up and then down again. It's a small number, usually 8 or less, but I wonder if it's just an insignificant glitch or if there's a real problem.
The blog I need help with is costofcollege.wordpress.com.
We Volunteers answering questions on these support forums cannot help with stats fluctuations issues. Have you reported your concern to Staff?

To be frank I have been here for over 5 1/2 years and I don't ever fret about stats. I focus on creating content and by the time I have created some draft posts for future publication and I check my stats the next day they have rectified.
Stats are not realtime and their existence is spread across several datacenters.
Depending on how often you refresh, you may access a different datacenter that does not have the most up to date stats.
I recommend checking your stats no more often than every 30 minutes.
