Old account I can't access needs deleting

    Hi

I can't log into an old blog which I last posted on in 2009 and I'd like to delete it, or at least log in and change the content to what I'd like it to be. The blog is davescotford.wordpress.com and describes red monster records, a business I used to run. I believe the registered email is something like [email redacted] but because the domain name has expired, I'm unable to log into the email inbox and re-set the account password.

I have now moved on with my career and would like the blog deleting. My email address is: [email redacted], which is registered to the username I'm sending this message with, davescotford1990

    Thanks!

  2. re: access old blog no email address or login info

The person who owns the blog is the person with the username account who registered the blog and who provided the email address the blog is associated with.

In order to help get access to the blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:

    1. an email from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was

    2. the wordpress.com API key for the account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe.

    3. a transaction number if any upgrades were purchased for the blog

Do you have any of those? P.S. Note that this thread has been flagged for Staff attention and that Staff can view the redacted email addresses though we can't.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I know the username to the account, it's just the username which it would have been registered to no longer exists as the domain name expired. The welcome email you mentioned would have been sent to the account which I mentioned, as it's expired then I can't log in and get that API code. Nothing was purchased for the blog, was a free one.
