   My oldest blog displays on top of the home page and the latest post displays second. I have changed the settings, but the page appearance just does not change.

   The blog I need help with is darntheworld.wordpress.com.

   Where is the link to the blog to which you are referring please startring with http:// ?

   @lokeshsahal if this is you, that first post is sticky http://darntheworld.wordpress.com/

   Fix it in the Edit post page in the Publish pane - Visibility. Click Edit and untick the relevant box.

   Yes, this could be caused by making a sticky post, and later failing to edit and change the visibility by un-checking "Stick this post to the front page".. :)
