I use the React theme for business. I'm not familiar with CSS. If I buy the custom upgrade, how would I omit the word "Home" from appearing on my home page? Also, when viewed on the ipad, the date a page (not post) was published is displayed. Using CSS, how would I omit this date from appearing on pages on my ipad version?

At the very least we need to know what theme you are using. CSS is theme specific so we need to at least know that.

Please go back to the Premium Themes Support Forum or contact Staff directly. This is why. As noted above the blog is both a private blog and a blog wearing a premium theme and CSS editing is theme specific. Well Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how the premium themes are designed to operate, and no access to them.
When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Preium Themes Support forum at Appearance > Themes.
When you purchased the custom design upgrade you also purchased Staff support.
Give this a try. This will only affect the main page of the site, nothing else, but make sure and check. Go to appearance > custom design > CSS, delete all the informational text from the window, paste the below in there and then you can use the preview to check it. Sometimes you have to force refresh the preview page to see the change.
