On some computers my sidebar is at the bottom
-
i am using the fluidity theme. For whatever reason on some computers my side bar is at the bottom of the page. any idea how i can fix that?
-
Could you provide a link to your blog so that I can see the source code?
Also, Is this a privately hosted WordPress blog? I’m asking because the theme you named doesn’t appear to be listed in the list of available themes for me here on my WordPress.com account.

my sidebar has moved to the bottom also, but only on the home page. I changed the theme to see if that corrected it, but it did not.

My sidebar went to the bottom within the last couple of days too. I don´t think it was anything that I did. At least, I didn´t do it on purpose. I have a wordpress.com blog and have not modified the CSS. I am using a theme that has always worked. There was not a “bug” until now. When I try out other themes my sidebar is at the bottom as well. That´s so strange.

I have found a couple of themes that put the sidebar in its proper place, but I am still hoping for a solution so I can use my preferred theme.

My sidebar when to the bottom last night too. I have no clue what is going on! fightingwindmills, I have had the same problem, changing themes doesn’t work for me either.

I can’t help with this one. But more people have had this problem today. This blogger ended up choosing a new theme: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=23324&replies=4

For all of you, set your blog to display only one post per page (options > reading) and then go through your posts one at a time to see which one is causing the issue. Once you narrow it down it is much easier to figure out why this is happening.
-
I see three images in your sidebar that are too wide for the sidebar space which could be causing this. They are:
Anti-racist parenting
The one with the multi-colored silhouettes
Ron Paul 2008 Hope for America
In general, it is best to keep your sidebar images down to a width of 150px. I don’t know if this is all that is causing the issue or not, but it is a good place to start.

I think your problem is that you put the more tag inside a numbered list. Move it out and before the numbered list and I think you should be fine.
As a note of caution, putting more tags in the middle of ordered or unordered lists, or blockquotes typically leads to problems. Always put them before or after the list or blockquote.

Thank you so much! That did it. It was my latest post. I had tried some fancy stuff to set aside my points, and it messed it up. I got rid of the messy points, then under visual editor, I highlighted all the text, clicked the advanced options button, then there was a “paint brush” that when you hover over it says “clean up messy code.” I hit that button, saved it, and my front page was all fixed!

You have a bunch of images that are too wide for the theme you are using and then will have to be reduced to under 770px wide, the maximum for the theme you are using (Rubic).
You also have quite a few open tags which you can see a list of here: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgetsomehairapy.wordpress.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
For now, just worry about the places where it says, “end tag for… omitted.”

There are two very useful buttons in the editor that may shorten up fixing of the missing ending tags issues. One is on the visual editor extended tool bar and is titled “clean up messy code” and the other one is in code view and is called “close tags.”
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/
Open your posts for edit (starting with “make peace with the hair you have,” select everything in the post and then go to the extended tool bar in the visual editor and click on the “clean up messy code” icon. The switch to code view and click on the “close tags” icon. Then save the post. Continue on down with the posts that currently show on your main page.

On my home computer it looks fine, which is what I base my choices on. I´m using someone else´s laptop and it looks fine. But on another, older computer it was messed up. Thanks for the advice about width of images. I didn´t know that it would vary from computer to computer.

uhm… i posted this and none of this is working for me. check out my page, i looked at every single post and none of them are larger than others…. wtf is up?

What is strange is that this happened all of the sudden. I don’t write “code” (I barely know what it is!) so I don’t know how I got messy code. The pictures are the proper width for my preferred theme, which I have reverted to while trying to clean up my messy code. So far, no luck.
