One day pop up cover page for my website

  1. Hello there

I run a website about my football team, Bradford City - widthofapost.com

On Friday, it is the 27th anniversary of the Valley Parade fire disaster. To mark it, on the day I was hoping I could sort it so that when users click on my site some sort of home page cover image appears over it, with a photo of the memorial and a tiny bit of text, with the link to close the 'cover' and access the site normally after.

Is there a way of doing this on a wordpress.com site?

    thanks in advance

The blog I need help with is widthofapost.com.

  2. Is this the blog in question? http://widthofapost.com/
Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

We cannot install pop-ups of any kind on our WordPress.com blogs. You can create a sticky post. You can also use a Milestone Widget.

  3. thanks for your help.

  4. You're welcome.
