One Username Two Different Blogs Need Separating

  1. Hi All,

I have an existing blog which is private but I needed to open another for my portfolio.

When I registered the second blog, I did so at the first blog's email address because it seemed like WordPress was directing me to just do everything with one email. Now, because I wanted to change the name of the authored posts on the second blog, I realize that I needed to do these completely separately - set up a new email, etc.

After reading through old posts that are similar to this, I attached a new email address to the second blog. But now, I am logging into two different WordPress accounts with different usernames, etc. but it is taking me to the same dashboard - the two blogs can still be found in the same place.

How do I officially separate the two blogs without losing the registered blog name, etc. Honestly, all I want is to have two different authors on the blogs - a different for each. And, I wanted the "About" to be separate but they are the same.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The blog I need help with is iyamwhatiam.wordpress.com.

  2. is anybody gonna help?

  3. Bumping a thread after 30 minutes is rude and distorts the very fabric of space and time as well as irritating the unpaid volunteers that provide most of the help here - and almost cost you this answer

    Instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

You need a second account with a different email address

  4. @timethief

    thanks for your help

    @auxclass

i found your response pretty rude. i don't know the "rules" of posting in this particular forum; i've only been here a few times. almost an hour passed and i figured my thread was being ignored. it is common practice to bump a thread in forums, and not considered rude.

being an "unpaid volunteer" doesn't mean rudeness or passive aggressive threats are okay when dealing with users who are just searching for help.

  5. Your thread is not being ignored and if you expect 1 hour turnaround time for an answer yopur are entirely off base. The average time for a first response on any blogging support forum is 24 hours. Bumping your won thread prior to that is not well received in any support forum.

This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. There is no phone support here and we Volunteers do not provide support by email.

Volunteers answer most questions posted into forum threads and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention.

auxclass was not rude he was blunt.

Frankly I was peeved right off when I saw you bump this thread above the others who are waiting and I was tempted to say something too that would not have been humorous like his comment was.

  6. Just honest - the rude person is you

Bumping threads @ 45 min is not normal here - it is rude - if you need to bump go elsewhere - note also that I gave you the correct answer
