   I have made an Events blog and will be posting about an upcoming workshop. I would like to add an online registration form to the blog. There is no money involved but I would like to track the registrants and acquire info like their name, phone # email, and their job description. and do so in a secure manner. Is there an easy way to do this on the blog? i see the various plugins, but since this is a wordpress.com blog i know plugins aren't allowed but is there an alternative?

   What you will have to do is to host a form somewhere online and then link to it from your blog. We cannot use forms here due to security concerns.

   Search the internet for either "free online form hosting" or "online form hosting" and you should find some options.

   I would recommend using Eventbrite. They are very efficient.
