Organizing post locations

  1. I'm looking to feature posts from a certain category only on a separate menu page, any way I can take them off the home page?

The blog I need help with is apalatetranscribed.wordpress.com.

  2. All posts appear on your home page. I see that you have discovered how to create a menu item for posts under a category. Beyond what you have, the only other approach I can think of is to use your custom menu to create a brief introductory static page as your "home" page. Your blog page will still accumulate all of your posts but it does NOT have to show up on your menu. You can create menu items for your categories instead.

  3. That definitely works. However, when you arrive at the blog, the "showcase page" automatically compiles all of the posts. Which is exactly what I don't want.

  4. Your choices for the landing page are: the blog page or a static page. You can't choose a dynamic category page as the landing page.
