Oulipo Header Image prob in IE and Firefox

  1. If you view the new blog i am setting up http://ryanjz.wordpress.com in Chrome the header image is perfect. If you open the blog in IE8 or Firefox 3 and 4 beta the header image is 2px taller and obscures the dotted line.

Any tips on correcting this? I have already triend several images including pre-cropped 712x80 originals. If i submit a 78px height it stretches the image and the result is the same.

The blog I need help with is ryanjz.wordpress.com.

  2. Hmm the problem is even weirder than i initially thought. I tried to circumvent the header issue by quickly chopping out a custom background image and the results are even more bizarre!

I will leave the blog as-is with the background image in question so you guys can check it out. Please note the differences between Chrome and Firefox (both 3 and 4beta).

  3. Hi ryanjz, thanks for your report on this. It appears that with your theme, Oulipo, the header gets pushed down when you're logged into WordPress.com (if you visited the site in Chrome and were logged out that could explain why it looks OK there). We'll take a look and get it fixed.

  4. I appreciate that! It is also doing the same thing to the background image. The secondary issue is why do IE and Firefox push the images down 2px farther than Chrome?

  5. Also, the header looked fine in Chrome if i was logged in or out. The 2px variance occurs in IE/Firefox regardless of login status as well. Hope that helps.

  6. Hi ryanjz,
Thanks again for your report, the header issue is fixed now.
