Our website has received many FB shares on the posts as well as the page itself.

    Our website has received many FB shares on the posts as well as the page itself. However, I am noticing that the numbers on the FB shares have declined and in some cases completely missing on our old blogs. Can you please guide me as to what has happened.
    Also we have been receiving several vulgar spam comments. I don't know why this is happening now as it never happened before.

    I just open business and want to make my website a lot of visitors. We open this website to promote our homestay at Langkawi Island Malaysia and we need the traffic in my country to visit my website.

    Hello RainCoaster I am reporting an issue with our wordpress page.
    We are receiving spam comments lately and therefore pointing it out here along with another issues that our page is facing.

    It's not an issue unless the spam comments are going up instead of being caught by Akismet.

    Well somehow we are getting several spam comments that we are deleting.
    Also our website has received many FB shares on the posts as well as the page itself. We had 150 a few months ago, then it dropped to 80+ shares and today it's 57 shares.

    We are noticing that the numbers have declined and in some cases completely missing from our old blogs.
    Can anyone here guide as to why that has happened.

    The Facebook statistics are off, dozens of people are complaining about that. I'm afraid it's something staff have to work on.

    As for the spam, if it's all going to one post usually that's because you've approved a comment which is spam on that post. If that's not the case, it generally means you've just gone up in the search engine ranks, so just mark the comments as spam and Akismet will learn.

    I'm going to close this thread now that the issue is resolved, but anyone should feel free to start a new one if new issues crop up.
