Oxygen Theme, Gallery View

    When I was looking at the Oxygen theme in live preview, I would go to my gallery pages and then click on an image. At first it would open into that black slideshow view, but then on it’s own leave that view and go to an individual image with a previous and next button. But after I activated it and went to double check my pages, it went to the black slideshow view and did not go to the other view. I liked the other view. How do I get it to do that?

    In order to turn off the default Photo Carousel, go to your Dashboard>Settings>Media and uncheck the box next to “Enable Carousel” Remember to save your changes.

    Once you turn off the Carousel, when you create a new Gallery, you can choose to open your Gallery images either as an “Attachment Page” or the individual image. See #8 on this page http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

    I see that you’ve turned off the Photo Carousel, but in order to have the image appear in its own page with navigation buttons, you’ll need to select the “Attachment Page” option when creating a Gallery.

    Right now, your images are opening as separate images, which is not navigation friendly since visitors have to use their browsers “back” button to return to the page where the photos are displayed together.
