OXYGEN Theme - Photos showing up horizintally stretched

I've had the Oxygen theme on WordPress for months. It was working great until a few hours ago. I noticed that that on the main page, the images show horizontally stretched. They were fine before, and they are the exact same images. How do I fix this?

This is how the images look right now:

    Any help is appreciated.

The blog I need help with is thegoodieplate.wordpress.com.

  2. My blog started doing the same thing as well, both with the post slider image and the images for recent articles.

    What happened?

Same here. All my featured images appear horizontally stretched

  4. Me too! I would really like to find out how to fix this. I don't even know where to start since it wasn't something I did to cause the problem.

Mine is doing that too! Good to know I'm not the only one.

Piling on, I know, but +1 for hernfamilylife.wordpress.com. Started today for me as well, and has only affected the last two posts. The image shows fine in the post itself. It's just horizontally stretched on the main/preview page. Glad to find out it probably wasn't something I did -- or if it was, I've at least got some company!

  7. I just took a look at all of your blogs. None of the pictures are stretching like mine. Hm... Also I've noticed changes made on the WordPress.com site. Maybe that's what's contributing to this photo stretching problem?

  8. Also I should mention, when others go to my site, the pictures look normal, not stretched. Much like when I went on your sites, the pictures looked just fine.

Wow -- that's strange! Prompted by your last notes, I did likewise, and am seeing the same results.

So basically, something has changed that only affects the main page view of the logged in author of the page.

I'd still like to know what's up, but am glad to know it's not an issue affecting end users.

  10. Hi there,

A major update to WordPress.com caused the images in the Oxygen theme to be temporarily stretched, but the issue has already been fixed.

It's likely that you're seeing cached versions of your own sites, having visited the site while the bug was present.

I would recommend clearing your browser cache to make sure that you hare viewing the most up-to-date version of your sites.

    Thanks.
