Oxygen theme - The Showcase Page template troubleshooting

    Hi!
I use Oxygen theme and want to activate The Showcase Page template. I created a page, set up that page as Showcase page, went to Settings - Reading and set up Static page, but now that page is not visible on front page. If I click on the name of that page, I can not see it either. That is a page with pictures (slideshow).
I want that slideshow to be on my front page above my recent posts.
My problem number 2 is that my home page (with my recents posts) has dissapeared from the lists of my pages... I can see my home page when I go on my blog, but if I click on something else and want to return to my home page, I must click on my title name - I do not have listed "Home" among my pages....
    Can anyone help me? Tnx!

The blog I need help with is caughtinawhisper.wordpress.com.

Okay, I Think I have mixed several things above. :(
I want to have several pages/posts (the one that comes along with wordpress.com) as a slide show above my recent posts - so how do I get that?
And also, I want to have "home page" that appears mentioned among my other pages. That "home page" would have my recent posts (I do not have this since I switched on this theme).
I will be very greatful if someone helps me with this! :) :) :) :)

  4. Have you gone to the Themes Showcase to read the Oxygen Theme Description there http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/oxygen/ and checked out the Live demo site? http://oxygendemo.wordpress.com/
Have you read the numerous forum threads on that theme that answer your question? http://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/oxygen

Sticky post thumbnails are 750 pixels wide in the featured slider

Yes, I have done all of that and it is not working! That's why I posted here my problem... And I also tried to find solutin for my problem with "home" page and also - nothing...
I have done all that is listed above and it does't work. :-/
This is not my first theme and I know how to follow instructions and everytime has worked, until now...

  6. Please help me help you by describing exactly what's not working?

  7. I want to have several pages/posts (the one that comes along with wordpress.com) as a slide show above my recent posts - so how do I get that?

That's not a slideshow that you see on this theme. It's a featured post slider. Each featured post must have a featured image of the correct dimensions set and it must be marked as a sticky post.

  8. The featured posts slider is for post, not pages. Pages and posts are not the same and it's critical to successful blogging for you to know the differences between the two. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  9. And also, I want to have "home page" that appears mentioned among my other pages. That "home page" would have my recent posts (I do not have this since I switched on this theme).

You can either have a Home page that displays your posts or a static front page ie. Showcase template that does not. You cannot have both.

    Showcase page template
When you first activate Oxygen, you’ll see your posts in a traditional blog format but if you’d like to showcase your content in an online magazine-like fashion, then you can use the Showcase Page template. ... http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/oxygen/
