I wish to add a linked page to my store on my blog, so that instead of the page itself opening, either a new window opens or the current page is redirected to an external site (store). Can someone please tell me how to do this?
I have searched forum posts & read aboout php etc, but think this may only apply to those with a full wordpress website.

The blog I need help with is totalbodysculpture.wordpress.com.

  2. Before we proceed I want to make sure that you are aware of the following. No blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.COM blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM

The advertising exceptions noted in support documentation are for high traffic blogs that qualify for and are accepted into the Ad Control program, and for extremely high traffic blogs that qualify and are accepted into the paid VIP hosting program.

  3. Provided what your are selling is products or services that you yourself provide, you can use a contact form, and you can post an unencrypted PayPal donation button. Wufoo forms are also available. See here also.

Oh absolutely. I often put examples of the nutrition planner & workout planner I have produced & sell alongside my personal training services & have my own online store which is what I want the page to automatically forward to.

  5. You can create a custom menu and include a custom link in your custom menu. A custom menu allows you to display Categories with drop-downs to sub-categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages with drop-downs to sub-pages and custom links in your custom menu as well. You are in charge of what appears in a custom menu. choose the order in which to display any and/or all the foregoing in your custom menu. You choose which to display and which to hide.

  6. Hello I hyperlinked the keywords "happy holiday basket" in my third post in my blog. It should link to my affiliate gardening site. Why isn't it happening?? Instead it linked to types of blog.

I am paying for my blog since I had it mapped. This is very important to me. Please, please give me a better answer.

    Thanks.

  7. @penncoffee: The answer is in the "types of blogs" page. Please read it carefully, as we have no better answer for you.

Your affiliate links are being linked to the Types of Blogs page as a warning to youform the WordPress.com Terms of Service Staff. By reading that page for more information you will be clear about what content is and is not welcome on WordPress.com.

I am paying for my blog since I had it mapped.

My blogs are also being domain mapped and all of us who pay for domain mapping upgrades get exactly what we paid for and nothing more than that.

    Before Upgrading – Important Notes
    Same Rules Apply
    – The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising, any kind of prohibited code, or upload additional themes or plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted here at WordPress.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and you will still be required abide by our Terms of Service. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

  9. @penncoffee: I also noticed that timethief pointed to a detailed answer that should be of interest to you. Did you get a chance to read it?
