page-id help with Ari, remove specific page background

  1. Hi all,

    Using Ari currently.

    I'm having a bit of trouble concerning making my home page transparent so the background shows through, but then making each subsequent page not, if you get me.

    I've tried various code using page-id to no avail.

    I can get the page background to vanish if i use

    #page {
    	background: none;
    }

    but this then applies to the entire website.

    Any thoughts?

    My home page is the about page, and it should be page-id-1, but no code seems to want to work :(

    absolute CSS newbie here :) thanks.

    The blog I need help with is andywintersblog.wordpress.com.

  2. Turn it to this:

    .home #page {
    	background: none;
    }
  3. No Joy I'm afraid... that code didn't work but `#page {
    background: none;
    }did. but now this leaves me with the problem of putting a translucent background to show the text on a particular page. Anything i try to do doesn't seem to work. I've been using.page-id-13` to no success. any suggestions?

    The page in question is http://andywintersblog.wordpress.com/restorative-justice/

    Many thanks.

  4. apologies, code tag went a bit wrong. the tags are

    #page {
    background: none;
    }

    and .page-id-13

    Cheers

  5. Try my original suggestion again: it should work.
    Or turn it to this:

    .home #page {
    	background: transparent;
    }
