I have a small number of categories that I want to change in to pages, how can I make the changes? Can I move where I have the categories on the blog to where I want the pages? Do I cut / copy past the postings into the new pages?
Please come back to me this ones driving me crazy!!

Post and Pages are different. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
We can only assign Categories Posts, not to Pages.

It's critical for you to understand that it's not the static pages that we bloggers create that will update. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ Static pages cannot and will not automatically update. Delete the static pages you created. Then create a custom menu and add the dynamic (continuously updating) Categories pages to it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
