  2. You can create as many pages and sub-pages as you wish using any theme in the Theme Showcase. Do be aware that pages and posts are different.

I currently use the bouquet theme and i've tried to crate sub pages following the instructions in the wordpress support page but it didn't work so i assumed not every theme supports this.

I've tried to work around it several times :(

  4. Categories and Tags cannot be assigned to Pages. Pages are for static content that rarely, if ever, changes. Categories and Tags can only be assigned to Posts.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/#adding-categories-via-the-categories-module

When we publish a post (not a page) with Categories and or Tags assigned to that post (not page) the software automatically displays it on the Categories and Tags pages we assigned to the post, as well as on Archives pages. This is not a page we bloggers create at all. It's created by the software.

A custom menu allows you to display Categories with drop-downs to sub-categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages with drop-downs to sub-pages and/or Tags pages and/or Custom Links in your custom menu as well. You are in charge of what appears in a custom menu. You choose the order in which to display any and/or all the foregoing in your custom menu. You choose which to display and which to hide.

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to get the most out of using wordpress and understand the basics before i pay for anything else that I can't do or use.

  6. The Page Attributes module allows you to set page parents for sub-pages.

Thanks for your help. I am still not able to do this with my theme.
:( Perhaps the theme does not allow this function. I will play about with a few other themes.

    Many thanks

In the section page attribute, i only have one option which is template, I do not have the 'parent' drop down menu.
