Parse error that won't go away!

  1. Hello WPer's

I am working on blog for a friend and while I was trying to add an image behind his name to his header php I got the following error which will not go away, I can't get into his dashboard, I cannot get rid of the message by doing a control alt delete, nothing. I'm stuck. Any help out there in Word Press land?

When I sign into his account, this is what I get:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/content/66/7870966/html/wp-content/themes/simplo/functions.php on line 7

The blog I need help with is conniedeshpande.com.

  2. What you are trying to do cannot be done on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. As we cannot access the files underlying out themes containing the php for WordPress.com blogs, which are all on the same multi-user blogging platform, let alone edit the php, it seems you maybe posting to the wrong support forum. If you are working on a WordPress.org install you must post to this support forum httP//wordpress.org/support/

Alternatively, you could be working on a free hosted WordPress.com blog and have not read this: WordPress.com vs WordPress.com or this no editing templates or themes or this custom design > Frequently Asked Questions
