Hello, under the wedding templates offered page (http://weddings.wordpress.com/), among the many features listed is one to be able to password protect my site. I am currently using the theme "Forever" but am unable to password protect my site (other than making it private and inviting users - that is not the route I would like to go). How can I add a password to my site?

You can't password-protect the entire site, but you can password-protect individual posts and pages:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/
Alternatively, you can make the entire blog Private and invite only specific users to view it: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
