Password reset e-mail - does not arrive in my inbox?!

I have received the e-mail below and tried to reset my password several times in the last week. It then says i would receive an e-mail to set up a new password. i never get that email! Not even in my spam inbox.

I have emailed wordpress and have not had an answer. I don't know what to do as I urgently need to update my blog. Any help? I even set up a new account just to post on here. Bit annoying.

    "Hello,

We recently detected suspicious activity on your WordPress.com account. To protect your identity and keep your site safe, we’ve reset your password.

Please reply to this email if you see any more suspicious activity on your account or your blog. You can also get in touch directly at [email redacted].

To reset your password and get access to your account and blog, please visit WordPress.com. Click on “Forgot password?” in the Login toolbar to get started. It is very important that your password be unique because using the same password across different web applications increases the risk of your account being hacked.

If you have any further questions or trouble resetting your password, please reply to this message to get help from our support team. We will never ask you to supply your account password or financial information via email.

    The WordPress.com Team"

This is what I get when I try type in my email or username after clicking "forgot password":

"Check your e-mail for the confirmation link. Please choose your password carefully, using these tips."

The confirmation link was still not sent to me. I must have tried at least 10 times in the past 7 days.

  3. No need to create so many threads. That's the very kind of thing that could trigger a suspicious activity warning.

Are you certain you're using the correct email address?

The email address you used when registering your WordPress.com account is listed in:

the Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page, or
Users -> Personal Settings in your dashboard

Administrative and account notifications are sent to this address, for purposes including:

    Forgotten password

  4. As I said, I thought I was contacting wordpress directly, didn't realise it would publish it. Hence, another thread cause I freaked out that my details aree public.
I'm a bit impatient and confused.

Thank you but I'm certain I have used the correct e-mail address. WordPress actually lets you know if it's one that isn't registered. I have checked all other accounts I have ever associated with that blog, too. No e-mail from WordPress at all.

Since wordpress even lets you have a password reset email sent to you just by typing your username, I have done it via that option too.

And how can I check my personal settings for that account when I can't even log on to it? :(

  6. First, please check your email's spam folder for the reset email.

If it is not there, please visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and click "Need More Help?"
