   Whenever I try to change my password, I receive a page saying that my password is too short, regardless of the length of the new password

   This of course, begs the question: How short is it? Most passwords are 8 or more characters in length.

   I meant the new password. I was choosing ones with over 12 characters.

   Wow! I don't know what to say to that. Maybe other bloggers have some idea of how to proceed. All I can think of is to send a feedback into staff.

   I also encountered the same problem. I tried to change my password after receiving word of the password strength assessment but even if I type a password longer than my old password it still came out with a message that my password is "too short"

   I had the same problem with a password that was "strong" and around 14 characters long. I ended up having to get a new password from WordPress -- much shorter! -- to log back in. Something seems not to be working properly yet.

   In case anyone is wondering, staff has installed a new script on the change password form.
