pasting URL Codes to create a widgets

  1. I was wanting to put some widgets on my blog that I really liked, so I copied the URL code but I don't know where to put the code.Where do I type the widget's URL code?

The blog I need help with is seashellee.wordpress.com.

  2. You have failed to link your username to your blog and have also failed to post the full url for the blog in question starting with http:// and until you do one or the other we cannot even begin to help you.

Please see #2 in this post and post again to this support forum if you have a free hosted wordpress.COM blog. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/7-things-to-know-before-posting-in-wordpresscom-forums?replies=1

If you have downloaded free software from wordpress.ORG for self hosting and have hired a web host then you are posting to the wrong forum. In that case, the correct forum for you is found here http://wordpress.ORG/support/

If you need to determine which type of blog you have please read these entries:

  3. http://seashellee.wordpress.com/ USERNAME: Seashellee Sorry! :D

  4. URL code? I think that's not the term you meant. Did you mean HTML code?

You use a Text Widget and put it in there. Be aware that not all codes are approved for use here.

  5. oh ok thanks! Will that work if I don't have the udated version of wordpress? Also, do I paste the HTML code in as the title?

  6. You don't have to worry about versions when your blog is hosted at wordpress.com. That's always taken care of for you.

The title can be anything you want it to be or you can leave it blank. The HTML is pasted into the empty box.

  7. Thank You SOOO MUCH! :D

  8. You're welcome.
