I am new to the blogging seen....and I saw a message on my edit page that says have my own domain for $15 a year, looks like it would make my blog a .com site-what benefit would this have, does it change it to a website or what????
The blog I need help with is rawkinmom.wordpress.com.
I took the plunge although I registered a .net instead of a .com because the domain I wanted was taken. Basically having your own domain makes the entire package more professional. If you tell someone, hey check out my website at yadda yadda .com it'll be easier to remember than saying wordpress . yadda yadda. com, those were basically my reasons for turning my blog into a domain.
Hi, is it possible just to pay to cut off the 'wordpress' bit of the address? If so how do I do it?
Or do I need to register my new domain elsewhere, then link it to my wordpress blog?
