   Hi

   I currently have a wordpress blog on a seperate domain and installation which I have to close down and move

   I am therefore trying to setup a wordpress.com blog but migrate posts across.

   Can anyone point me in the direction of a document which explains if this is possible?

   You can create an XML export file on your self hosted WordPress.site and then import it into your WordPress.com blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

   Hey timethief, would the same protocol work on a non-WordPress site? I've got a blog at TypePad and wanted to move it to WordPress.

   Does Typepad have a built-in exporter? If not, you should have a feed, and that can be used for an import.
