   when I signed on i noticed an $8 cost to keep information private i.e. address.
   where is that option located?

   The blog I need help with is thewritewordblog.wordpress.com.

   Wp.com always keeps that info private, in fact they don't HAVE that info unless you buy a domain name, eg whatever.com in which case it needs an address and contact info. Then you can also buy the privacy upgrade so that info stays hidden.
