   I'm new at this whole blogging thing. Could you suggest the best Themes to use for a blog that is predominantly for photos?

   Monotone I bet.

   This is what the description says: "A photo blogging theme. Colors change to match the photo."
   It can be found on the third page.

   @nomaddrifter-you don't mention if your blog is hosted here on WordPress.COM and that makes quite a difference in the answer. Please give us the address, including http://

   Assuming your blog is here, Monotone is nice, but it isn't very widget friendly, nor the only theme which can be used as a photoblog. I've seen lots of other themes used as photoblogs. I'm currently using The Journalist v1.3 and love it because it has a large posting area. You can see it in action here http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/ I've also seen Hemingway used and Chaos Theory and a few others. Any theme can be set up to showcase a single post, which I think is the best presentation for photos.

   Look at this FAQ to determine the maximum size of the photo displayed http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/ and then go preview the theme with a few posts. You'll quickly decide what is best for you.

   Whatever theme you choose, make sure to optimize your images to the chosen size before uploading.
