Photo captions stealing entire posts

  1. Hey I am having a simple problem, but its driving me crazy.

See, my usual layout for my posts is, I talk for a bit, then post a picture with a little caption underneith, then I continue talking. It means walls of text are broken up with pretty pictures. The problem is, after typeing all this out and then previewing it, all of the text below the picture is inside the caption box. Why is this? How do I stop it from happening?

The blog I need help with is dragonalex.com.

  2. Have you got an example? I can't see any in your blog.

You should be able to click to the HTML editor and move the [ /caption ] code

  3. Nah, I tend to remove, or edit a post if something like this happens, so there wouldn't be any examples. I just wasn't sure if this was a common thing.

Useing the HTML editor is a good idea, I will try that next time, thanks.

  4. @pope0031 I know exactly the problem you've described. It has happened to me on numerous occasions and the only way to fix that is to isolate the script using the HTML editor. What I had noticed previously is

and [caption] nested in the wrong order causing a huge mess. I like to think that I'm quite competent when it comes to fixing issues like this. My posts tend to be very long and I try to caption every single one of my photos so when things don't work, they can be catastrophic!

  5. Oops! see what I mean? Haha
