  1. I used to be able to upload photos within a text format- this now appears impossible since you have changed the website, and i can only upload photos to look HUGE on the page which is ruining my blog. Pleas tell me how to upload them in the original format or my blogging efforts a complletlely wasted whic is unbelievably annoying.

The blog I need help with is ladylecker.wordpress.com.

  2. Nothing has changed in this respect: when you are about to insert an image you have uploaded to your blog, you get alignment, link and size options (thumbnail, medium, large or full-size).

  3. Thank for your reply, I amsure you are right but sadly I didn't even get that far, none of my photos will upload within a text post at all, whereas previously I had no problem with this at all. I don't find this site makes things easy! Also if you upload a photo and you want to leave the title blank it takes the file name of your picture, which then needs to be edited. Makes the process very convoluted! Thanks for your help, hope I will be able to get to that stage sometime.

I suspect you're using the "New Post" tool in the grey admin bar: that tool is meant for quick posting, so it does not include all the options that are normally available. More important, it's buggy: your content may disappear, partly or completely (users have been complaining about this for months, and so far WP has found nothing to say or do about it).
So (if my suspicion is correct), don't use that way to create posts: use Posts > Add New in your dashboard sidebar.
To correct your latest posts, you can go to Posts > all Posts, edit each post, delete the image and re-insert by clicking the Add Media button, and also change its post format from Image to Standard.

  5. Thank you- you are right! I think the changes to the website have meant that I have changed the way I create a post, which I wasn't even aware of. Sounds like a mission, but thanks, you have been really helpful! Thinking of transferring my blog elsewhere though.. :z

  6. You're welcome.
The changes are additions only: they don't force you to change the way you create a post. As I said above, the normal way was, and still is, Posts > Add New.
