Photos and descriptions

  1. I doing a multi-page blog on an author. On one page I want to place photos of books, two, three or four in a row with descriptions underneath each. Is this possible?

  2. Not in a row, but stacked vertically using the Center icon, yes. You could theoretically do them in a row if you used a table, but it's a lot of coding and centering is much easier. You can center the text or align it or justify it, as long as the pictures are centered.

  3. Hello,

    That's not helping you! Never say no when it can be yes.
    I also had the same question as I am a photographer.
    I see that you are using the Theme 'Cutline', which is roughly 500px wide.
    I fixed this simple solution for you. All you have to do is copy & paste this code on your blog editor in the 'Code' mode (not 'Visual'):

    Example with 2 rows and 3 columns, with 5px borders, image & text center-justified:

    <table width="500" height="275" border="1" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5">
    <tr>
    <td height="207"><div align="center">Insert img here</div></td>
    <td><div align="center">Insert img here</div></td>
    <td><div align="center">Insert img here</div></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td><div align="center">Text Caption here</div></td>
    <td><div align="center">Text caption here</div></td>
    <td><div align="center">Text caption here</div></td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    Then after that you drag the images in your editor, once you have submitted them to the blog.
    Then place cursor in the text caption box, and replace text by the one you wish. Play with sizes & colours with the extended options mode activated.
    You might have to play a bit, inserting code in WP blogs and make it work might be a bit awkward but don't give up.

    Good luck!

  4. Wow! Thanks to both of you!
