I recently switched to a new theme, Modularity Lite and I LOVE the slideshow feature. the only problem is that it seems to only pick my worst photos. is there any way to change what photo it picks for that post? Also is there a way to change how many pictures ar on the slideshow?
It is a great theme, Thank you WP.

The standout feature of Modularity Lite is it’s beautiful home page slideshow powered by Featured Images. Each photo in the slideshow will be a whopping 950 pixels by 425 pixels. That’s huge! To get it working, first click Yes! I’d like to enable the optional home page slideshow in Appearance → Theme Options from your dashboard and click Save Options. Next make sure some of your recent posts use really large Featured Images–at least 950 pixels by 425 pixels. Featured Images can be uploaded from the post edit screen. You can read more about how to do that here. And that’s it! Once you’ve started adding Featured Images to your recent posts, the Modularity Lite theme will take care of the rest!

Wait a sec how do I change it on posts that I have already posted? do I need to delete all the pictures and then post them again with the best one first?
Im still dealing with this issue on my blog. It will randomly grab the top post image and set it as a featured img.
I am new to this an I read over the info provided, but I still not understand how to post an update with out the image automatically being dump into the featured image slideshow.
I was under the impression you had to select the image and make it a "featured" image, but I also am reading (maybe incorrectly) that the top post image will automatically be inputted in to the feature slide show?
I just am not understanding the method. Do you pick the photos or does the them self select? or both?

The Modularity Lite slideshow doesn't display images you set as featured images, it displays images you have uploaded via the Add an Image tool of the post editor. For each one of the posts on your front page, the ML slideshow will take the first image you have uploaded to that post (the one you uploaded first, not necessarily the one that shows up above the rest if you have inserted them in the post).
Does anybody else find that the most obnoxious possible way to set up that feature? How hard would it be to have it so the featured image is the one in the slideshow? It would also make much more sense. Just because I uploaded the image first doesn't necessarily mean I want it to be the one in the slideshow.
Also, this doesn't appear to be what happens in half my posts. It grabs an image I most certainly uploaded almost LAST from the media center. And then in my most recent post it didn't grab the image at all, even though it's cropped to the exact slideshow proportions (which are extremely odd, considering the normal format for photographs).
Perhaps you are confusing uploading with inserting. The ML slideshow will grab the first image you upload from your computer to the post via the Add an Image tool of that post, not an already uploaded image you can find in your Media Library and insert into the post.
I haven't added a single image from my computer and it's pulling photos for the slideshow, though. So if I add from the media center does it grab a random photograph?
And to fix a post that's pulling the wrong image should I delete the image from the media center and then add it from my computer?
Sorry, right thing is: the first image you upload to the post from your computer or the first image you insert to the post from your Media Library. Bottomline doesn't change: to change what image the ML slideshow will grab, you have to delete the images from your Media Library and re-upload them in the right order.
