please deacticated my 2 step authentication

  1. Hi, yesterday my phone got smashed, so I had to replace it. On the new phone the Google Authenticator had to be reinstalled so I lost the accounts I had in it. Unfortunately I did not print my Backup Codes for the 2 Step Authentication, so now I'm locked out of my blog.

Hope someone could help me and my blog is akbaraji.wordpress.com

So I created THIS account in order to be able to post here.
I try the form for account recovery. https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
But i don't have the prove that akbaraji.wordpress.com was my account.

    Thanks!!!

The blog I need help with is akbaraji.wordpress.com.

  4. dear all..please help...

  5. There should be an option for "need more help" somewhere - while logged out of all accounts - go through the lost password part for the original blog

and if my memory is not correct I will flag this for staff attention to help

  6. anyone can helping me?

  7. @auxclass = yes i have done it before..but i don't have any proof which proves that the blog belongs to me...

  8. Hi akbarsukmaaji,

Please go to https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and click on the "need more help" link. On that form, include your blog address, the username and email address associated with that blog, and anything else you can think of that might be helpful. Also be sure to note you are having issues with 2-step authentication.

  9. akbarsukmaaji,

I am in the same boat you are; I lost access after preforming a factory reset on my phone. The good part of this is that I have received a good education in 2 factor authentication.

Timethief, an user on this forum, has flagged my post for support, and until it is my turn in the queue, I must wait. Hopefully, I can start posting again in a day or so. Be patient, I believe they will get to your problem.

  10. @jackiedana = i've done this before..and i will do it again soon..

    @bdking81 = I will be patient :)

  11. Anyone can helping me?
until now i can't logon into my blog akbaraji.wordpress.com
i already do the jackiedana advise but i still cannot login into my blog.

Please help me to deactivated the 2 step authentication...

  12. Two-step authentication is a way to increase the security of your blog. In order to deactivate it, you either need access to your blog or you need to be able to verify with us that you own the blog in question.

All account recovery is handled through the form you get when you go to the Password recovery link and click on "Need more help?". You will need to work with staff handling account recovery to regain access to your blog, as we do not handle those requests in the public forums.
