Please help -- changing font size in Twenty Eleven

  1. I have footnotes at the end of my blog essay. I would like to make them a couple font sizes smaller than the rest of my text. Is there a way to do this in the html? I only see font size once at the beginning of the html version.

    Thanking you in advance.

    The blog I need help with is portdal.wordpress.com.

  2. Sure. First, you'll need to edit the post to add in some way to select the footnote text you added. One way would be to add a class like this:

    <p class="footnotes">footnote text here</p>

    You would add that to anything you wanted to style with CSS later. Use the html editor to make the change.

    Once the changes are saved, add this to your custom CSS to change the font for *just* that part of the text:

    .footnotes {
    font-size: 80%;
    }

    Adjust the percentage as necessary.
