Hi Veronika. There are tons of ways to get more people to visit your blog. A good start is by seeing the answers to the hundreds of people who asked the question before you:

@airodyssey - only 189 links in your search string - given that this question is ask almost daily I am disappointed at the low number - I think the record was 4 active threads on the front page of the Forum at one time with the same question - they could not even look a few thread below their own.
@10veronika - 14 hours is not yet a blip on internet time - there are a ton of suggestions also on the web site below - also page back through the Forum - your question shows up here almost daily - do a bit of research for yourself - you should have at least 1 visitor by now - you can also add a "Subscribe Widget" if you want to let people be notified of new Posts (but please don't get upset if not a lot of people subscribe all at once)

PS - put a title in your future Posts "untitled 58" has a certain lack of class.
If you use the names of people you take pictures of don't use full names - privacy issue - a lot of strange people in the world and the internet allows the strange ones to reach all around the world.

To attract an initial traffic flow that will hopefully convert into regular readers and subscribers, new bloggers who have good writing skills need to focus on:
1. Learning and understanding SEO (search engine optimization) and optimizing blog post titles, sub-titles, and keywords.
2. Mastering use of the blogging platform that matches their goals and is easy to use.
3. Choosing a niche and staying with it.
4. Cultivating relationships with other bloggers and particularly with bloggers who have blogs in the same niche.
Interesting content is an attractor and in blogging content is king but promotion is queen. There are 10 standard tips to get traffic:
(1) You need to have expertise in a niche.
(2) You need to know how to write very well.
(3) You need to verify your blog with search engines and structure a reader friendly and search engine friendly blog by learning how to apply basic SEO techniques. (4) You need to build an archive of high quality original content and keep adding to it.

The most important thing is to stay patient. You made it today you say? Chances are you'll spend the next wee while just working out how to use wordpress and making it look good. You need to take a while getting used to what you're doing.
Once you're ready, start networking within the scene you're aiming for. I see you're doing photography, get in touch with other photography blogs which are doing alright and say hi, ask them for tips, ask to share links etc.

Feel free to tag such threads with terms that would help people look for them. The search function on the forums is not quite as intuitive as the major search engines.
