Please help in the main menu

  1. Hello dear bloggers..
Hope everything's going fine with you...

Well, I need to add more links to my main menu in Duotone theme. The current menu is fine, But I would like to add a link as a "Home" (to return to the main blog).
I like the current menu so much because it has the "Archive" link which is very useful. But I need to add more pages and links to this menu.
I CANNOT MAKE A CUSTOM MENU BECAUSE I'LL LOSE THE CURRENT "ARCHIVE" LINK
    what should I do?
If someone can give me the complete code of the archive link So I can make a custom page with this code that runs exactly like the original Archive page SO I CAN MAKE A CUSTOM MENU WITHOUT WORRYING OF LOSING THE ORIGINAL ARCHIVE LINK

I tried to use the short codes but it didnt give me the same result I wished.. Not as clean and elegant like the original link.
Link to my blog is: http://thelightpainter.wordpress.com/

    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards

The blog I need help with is thelightpainter.wordpress.com.

  2. I don't understand you. This has nothing to do with shortcodes. You will not lose the Archive link if you include that link in your custom menu. I just set up this theme and created a custom menu in my test blog. I included all the Pages like Archives that I wanted in it and published. It worked properly.

  3. Two ways to do this:

a: Click your Archive, copy its URL from the address bar of your browser. Then go to Appearance>Menus and create a custom menu, adding Home after you click View All in the Pages module, and adding your Archive by pasting its URL in the URL field of the Custom Links module etc.

b (simpler): Create a new page, title it Home, save draft, change the editable part of its permalink to “index-php”, click ok, publish.

  4. Thanks in advance for your answers..
@ Timethief: I tried to make a custom menu and I already lost the Archive link :( which was sad for me..
@panaghiotisadam.. Thanks a lot for your advice. I'll try. Thank you..
