Please transfer my followers to new blog

Hi, I need help transferring my followers from my blog hosted at
http://donaldgrayston.wordpress.com/ to my new privately hosted blog at http://www.donaldgrayston.ca/wp/blogdg/

As soon as this is done I will take the site out of the /wp folder and make it live. Does it make a difference whether the followers are transferred to the new blog in the /wp folder or to http:/http://www.donaldgrayston.ca/blogdg/ right away?

I have jetpack installed and linked to the wordpress.com account.

Thank you very much in advance,

Astrid Feschuk (on behalf of Donald Grayston)

The blog I need help with is donaldgrayston.wordpress.com.

  2. The follower transfer is to the blog itself, so what folder it is in doesn't matter as far as I know.

This has been tagged for staff attention and hopefully someone will be around soon to take care of this for you.

  3. I need sleep… It doesn't matter if it happens now really unless activity is still going on on the old blog.

    Hi,

thanks for taking care of this. Yes, it matters that it happens because activity is still going on on the old blog, but should be going on soon on the new blog.

    Thanks for now,

    Astrid

  5. I have transferred your followers as requested.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Thank you very much for doing this. Can we take followers off the list ourselves or how do we go about this. There is one, sharonpn, who would like to be taken off. Also, it says that there are now 248 followers when there should be 260. Could these missing ones be the wordpress reader followers and if so, can they be transferred as well, please.

    Thank you very much!

  7. The following system is entirely up to the followers. They can remove themselves via either an "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Subscriptions" link (depending on the type of subscription) at the bottom of the emails.

The blog only had 11 WordPress.com subscribers and 56 email subscribers. The other totals are probably coming from your Publicize connections (Facebook and/or Twitter) which can tend to fluctuate.
