I created a website and I found a plug-in that I want to use. However, I saw that I can't use plug-ins. I just want to use some of the code from the plug-in, because I want to use one option. I don't need all of them. I am new to this.

There is no FTP access to our free hosted WorPress.com blogs and we bloggers can't install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Yes. Buy hosting from somewhere, install software from WordPress.org, and away you go.

This is a college project, so I can host my website there free. Since I have space with them. However, not sure if that is the best idea. The only reason why I need a plug-in is for reservations. Unless someone knows how to create a reservation part that I need. All I need is to upload on the website when and what dates are available or not available. Does anyone have an idea? Maybe I don't have to go to .org for that. I am just new to all of this.

Nope, I looked at that. The reservations is for a customer to look or put a specific date into a calendar to see if the business has room for them. It is always changing. For example, if a customer didn't plan ahead for a vacation, they can look at the calender before they have to call to make their payment or even schedule their vacation or time off of work. I hope this makes sense. I found one on that I somewhat liked, however it is under wordpress.org, when I have wordpress.com. It is called easy reservations. I hope this makes sense.
You can't use that here. You can make a public Google Calendar and try and do the workaround that way, but it really sounds like your course is for WordPress.ORG and you need to buy hosting and set up a WP.org blog.

I think some sites link out to a hosted service for that kind of thing, but I'm not familiar with them. If you happen to find a hosted reservations service you like, you can link out to it from either type of website. If you prefer to install and manage your own WordPress plugin such as the WordPress.org one you mention, then you would need to switch to WordPress.org. Try looking around at other similar websites in your business area to see what similar sites are using for their reservations.
