Is there a plugin that allows user registration without sending them the password? This is regarding my wordpress blog on a server that charges to activate the mail function and I wish to not pay them for the mail function so I was wondering if there's an alternative, like maybe a plugin that changes the register page so they choose their own password.
The blog I need help with is knowledgeispower1982.wordpress.com.

No there is not and WordPress.com blogs are not set up to be registration blogs. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them for security reasons. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

I'm not sure I entirely understand, my wordpress blog isn't even hosted by wordpress. http://knowledge-is-power.zzl.org/ - whenever I need a plugin I use FTP to put them into the blog. Then activate them through the dashboard.
Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum. This forum is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. Your support questions must be posted to the correct support site for your software and that is here http://wordpress.ORG/support/

ok, thank you, I don't normally use wordpress, normally I program my sites from scratch working in the code, but I figured I would ease some frustration with this site.
I'm sure you will find help over here http://wordpress.org/support/ and if you do not have a username account there, you can register one on the top right hand corner of that page I just linked to.
