Plugins/widgets/CSS code--anything

  1. I want to add tumblr and or pinterest to my blog. I see there is a website for plugins for wordpress, yet the only thing I can edit are widgets and it doesn't work for me. Any ideas?

The blog I need help with is findingbrugge.wordpress.com.

  2. There is no FTP access to our free hosted WorPress.com blogs and we bloggers can't install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with WordPress.org installs can use plugins http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  3. You can use any widget that has pure HTML but you cannot use any widgets that contain restricted codes like iframes or JavaScript widgets. In the case of Pinterest, you cannot use the Pin-it Javascript code on a WordPress.com blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

But you can put the code for the Pinterest follow button in a text widget.
    1. Go to this site, choose which one of the red Follow Me images you want, and copy the code for it. http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/

    2. Then, go to your widgets > Appearance > Widgets and select a text widget.http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

    3. Paste the Pinterest follow button code into the text widget, "save" the widget, "close" the widget and place it where you want it to display in your sidebar.
