Podcast player help??? PLEASE

  1. I have been trying to add a media player to my Blog to play our podcast which is hosted by GoDaddy. We are trying to do something similar to the BigContact player on this blog by Rich Eisen: http://www.richeisen.nfl.com.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is marioandacupofjoe.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi. If your blog is hosted by GoDaddy, it means you are using the self-hosted version of WordPress blog and are in the wrong forum. Please ask your question at http://wordpress.org/support

You are currently in a forum for blogs hosted by WordPress.com and our answers will not apply to your situation. Thanks and I hope you find a solution to your problem soon.

  3. I do have a blog on wordpress.com. I'm just trying to add a podcast media player to my page...?

  4. I'm just trying to add a media player such as the one on this wordpress blog: http://richeisen.nfl.com/category/podcast/

  5. The blog you point to is a VIP hosted blog. From the footer:

    Powered by WordPress.com VIP

    http://vip.wordpress.com/

  6. So is there no way to do something similar to this on our blog using wordpress.com? Just been racking my brain to find a way :(

  7. Sorry, I thought your blog was hosted by GoDaddy. You said it was your podcast.

See if any of these can help you integreate an audio file to your WordPress.com blog:

  8. There are lots of podcasts hosted here, as you can see from surfing the podcast tag in the sidebar of this thread.

You can set it up this way for free by:

    (1) finding an external host for your mp3 files that allows hotlinking, like Fileden. Then use that link in the blog to provide a download and also to use for the Audio Player below
    (2) use the WP Audio Player http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/
    (3) just write up your notes and put them all in the post with the above

You can do this more easily if expensively by purchasing the Space Upgrade; then you can host the files right here at WordPress.com and upload them just like you would a picture.

  9. thank you... I will try both suggestions

  10. Best wishes for a happy ending. :)
