Pop- Ads - sending a screen-shot of an inappropriate ad on my blog

  1. Hi Andy,

You had responded asking for the following information re my blog that has some inappropriate content for my grandmother blog.

    link where the ad appears:

    http://bubbyjoysandoys.com/2013/09/12/staying-in-touch-2/

Day that the ad appeared - yesterday, Sept 11, and today Sept 12.
The ad appears only on my mobile phone which is interesting.
I'm unable to take a screenshot of the mobile phone.

Thanks for your help. I think I'm going to sign up for the yearly ad free service.

The blog I need help with is bubbyjoysandoys.com.

  2. There are no "pop up" ads on WordPress.com

If these ads appear only on your phone, it will be harder to track down but most phones do have a means of taking a screenshot.

Meantime, I'm still going to tag this for Staff to have a look at as it sounds like you are responding to some type of direct communication and I cannot find that you've previously posted in these forums.

  3. I believe I added my comment to a similar thread about this issue a long time ago.

Here is my post that I think sums up my feelings.

It is not advertisements per se, it is the inappropriateness of the advertisements.. one for a 'bottom-farting' app in this particular case...

    WordPress Why Oh Why

  4. As a step in the right direction - can WP please replace the wording above the ads that reads

    "About these ads"

with something more illuminating, such as

'WordPress places these ads here to help pay for its services.'

  5. No, that is not the same issue.

  6. Please make a screenshot of the ad and send it to us by e-mail.

Here's how to make a screenshot on your phone: http://www.itworld.com/mobile-wireless/269948/heres-how-grab-screenshot-nearly-any-smartphone

@artphotowall please open a new thread at http://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1

    Thank you.
